Art Work by Kekai Kotaki
Over he years I’ve seen a few things at the gaming table that have ranged from an occasional irritation to things that just piss me off. Rudeness, inconsiderate behavior, and cheating.
Here are some rules I’ve come up with.
BE ON TIME!!!
If you can’t be at the game at the prescribed time every week, you should find a different gaming group.
WE ARE HERE TO PLAY IN THIS CAMPAIGN!
We know you’ve played in other campaigns and it was fun. We don’t want to hear about it. You are in this campaign now. Stop wasting our time.
HEARING ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE IS EATING INTO OUR GAMING TIME.
A lot of stuff has happened to you since the last time we played (i.e. work, family, etc.), and to you it is interesting.
Please don’t mistake our silence for interest. We are just being polite.
DON’T INTERRUPT WHEN SOMEONE IS TALKING or ROLE PLAYING.
This rule is void if previous rule is being broken.
NO HARD TO READ DICE! (Cheaters Dice)
The GM will tell you if your dice are hard to read.
Automatic re-roll if a die hits the floor.
Ask the DM if a die is a leaner.
RE-ROLL WITH OUT PERMISSION, LOSE YOUR TURN!
BAD SHIT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR CHARACTER!
If you split the party so your character can go off and do something that doesn’t help the party, develop the story, or slows the game for other players at the table. Know the difference between good role playing and being a narcissist.
HELP THE DM & PLAYERS LOOK UP RULES.
IT IS JUST A GAME.
Don’t roll play.
